Amid the inconvenience of 21 days nationwide lockdown, there is flip side of shutdown. As people confine themselves to homes to practice social distancing to fight coronavirus pandemic animals seem to be reclaiming the space vacated temporarily by humans. With no possible intrusion by people lakhs of turtles began mass nesting at Odisha’s Rushikulya rookery. According to Govt estimation more than 2,78,502 mother turtles have nested at the coast by Wednesday morning. Over 72,142 turtles have arrived at beach to dig nests and lay eggs since Tuesday evening.
