Finally, Police Removed Shaheen Bagh Protesters

At 7:30 on Tuesday morning Delhi Police forcefully removed Shaheen Bagh protesters who refused to follow ongoing lockdown guidelines in view of coronavirus outbreak. Shaheen Bagh protest was going for more than 100 days after India passed a law to fast track citizenship for persecuted and discriminated minority in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Protesters were sitting on major road connecting Noida to Delhi disrupting commute for hundred of thousands people everyday. On Tuesday morning police brought cranes to dismantle temporary structure erected by protesters. Cleaning of site is in progress with the help of civic body.
