China Requests India Not to Use ‘China virus’ for Coronavirus

China wary of coronavirus becoming known as ‘Chinese virus’ after Trump’s repeated use of the term, turned to India to avoid itself being ‘stigmatize’ by new term.

In phone call made by Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi to Indian counterpart S Jaishankar China hoped that India was “opposed” to the “narrow mindset” of using terms like “China virus”. It was revealed by the Chinese ambassador to India Sun Weidong in a tweet.
