An Islamic Gathering at Delhi Became the Super-spreader for Coronavirus in India

An Islamic gathering at Delhi has turned out to be a disaster for India’s fight against coronavirus. In the first week of March, a Muslim organization called Tabligi Jamaat held an Islamic congregation in its Delhi headquarters near Nizamuddin area where more than 1000 people participated. Some of the participants came from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Indonesia where coronavirus had already spread.

After meet participants left for various states carrying the deadly virus with them. Since then new cases and deaths are being reported from those states where these participants went and came in contact with several people. In the latest, 6 people died by a coronavirus in Telengana who are directly linked to that Islamic gathering.

Also, yesterday police raided and sealed the premise as 24 participants tested positive for coronavirus.
